The Team Gold Ribbon Bike Ride

The Fourth Annual Team Gold Ribbon Bike Ride is attempting to build upon the fine work of the Brian Morden Foundation. We would also like to raise awareness of the need for more research for all childhood cancers and to assist local children and their families who are currently battling this horrible disease.

We hope to honor those children who have battled or who are currently battling cancer in the Altoona Area: Paolo d'Attavio, Scott Barb, Erin Dodson, Kate Gardini, timothy Green, Christina Holley, Nick Iachini, Jaclyn Koeck, Ryder McDermott, DJ Noel, Allison Schmitt, Erin Weaver, and Jonah Zolnak..

We also remember the memory of those who fought so valiantly and lost their battle including Brian Morden, Katie Mills, and Lindsey Connelly.

The event is open to everyone: families, individuals, young and old, team or riders, professionals and amateurs, walkers, runners, spectators, and well-wishers…

Organized by the Interact Club of Altoona Area High School, this family event is full of fun activities for both children and adults. This is not only an event to raise awareness, but an opportunity for people in the community, young and old, to show their support for children in the area diagnosed with cancer.

Art projects and games for younger children will be planned by members of the Interact Club. Children will participate in making cards and baskets for children's hospitals across Pennsylvania for the Brian Morden Foundation. The Foundation then delivers these cards and baskets directly to the children.

Fort Roberdeau supplies a safe, beautiful environment for this event and is a great place for families to enjoy a Saturday afternoon.
